My Grandad has been working on cars since he was around 18, he's now 59. He has bought and sold a shit ton of second hand cars over the years. I would buy a car from a private seller, as long as he gave it the all clear. I will not be going to view any cars when the time comes without him.

Yeah good plan. I don't know enough about cars to trust myself to buy off an individual. Of course dealers are shady too sometimes, okay most of the time. At least if you get a newer used vehicle there will be warranty left.

At least buying from a dealer there's less chance of the car being stolen (since they run all kinds of checks prior to buying anything from anyone) etc.

Yeah, I'm pretty anal about this kind of stuff. I always message the seller if they don't send within 24 hours of purchase.

Way to be impatient guys. When does it say on the listing that they'll post? If it says 1-2 days then give them a chance.

Also some people don't mark items as dispatched even though they have posted them, annoying, but yeah...

Em, I bought the item on Saturday and the conditions are 1 day from receiving a cleared payment, I checked my paypal account and it went through alright. Now I still have heard nothing back from them but the seller has 100% positive feedback on almost 2000 items which is good.

I checked the contact seller page and it said this:

The seller received your payment on 31 Dec, 2011. Your delivery estimate is 09 Jan, 2012 - 13 Jan, 2012.

Then again, that is an estimate and from Bristol to Dublin it should not take that long.

I thought I might have been a bit impatient so I haven't done anything and was maybe going to mail them tomorrow since today is the first working day they have and they might have to deal with a lot of orders from this weekend but I would like to hear something from them by tomorrow.
