Really you could just replace that box with "check this if you are thick". I would have checked it.

Nope. I plan my purchases and budget my money. I have an amount that I spend on gaming every month. When I want a game I determine my max price for it and seek to acquire it for that price. Sometimes it takes a week or two. I rarely pre-order stuff (I'm mostly buying "retro stuff anyway) but when I do I set that money aside after I pre-order day 1.
