It was their fault entirely. I warned them about keeping them off my property. I guess I should have mentioned I wasn't using anything that could kill them (a pellet gun) and they are still alive. Random animals come onto my property all the time. It's obnoxious, I keep an aluminum bat and a pellet gun handy.
Came across this and lol'd.

Letting dogs roam free like that (even if they're registered) is pretty irresponsible.......I have mine leashed when I take them off my property, I've got really good fencing and both gates are secured at all times.
The point of my initial post was that it's the owners that are at fault (not the animals) imo.
I wasn't serious about killing your neighbours, but it'd be nice if they could have some sense beaten into them![]()
I severely doubt they are registered. Part of the reason many people live out here is so that they don't have to care about many things. Best example I can think of off-hand is the fact that there is a guy with construction and demolition vehicles and equipment in his yard. He also dug out a moat around his property. I'm not even kidding. My cats are registered though. <3
Of course. I'd never do anything to them that would do permanent damage. At the same time I do want to scare them off. They don't come around nearly as much if at all anymore. I still get all kinds of random animals that people just let roam free. I don't mind the cats because they aren't as liable to out and attack me if I'm going out to take a piss. I've had horses, cattle, deer etc...all just randomly show up on my property. Firing an actual gun off into the air usually does the trick for that. Of course deer are very timid to begin with.Originally Posted by deadlegion
We are far past the point of talking. I was done with them as soon as they had the contractors working for them dump the excess from their project on my property. I also believe they poisoned my last dog but that can't be proven and is neither here nor there. Because of this I now don't own a dog (the fenced in part of the yard is still up) because I don't want it to be inside all of the time.Originally Posted by deadlegion

Yeah, pretty thin limb there.
This whole shit started because I wouldn't let them use part of my excess property for their horses for free. SORRY GUYS SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT MORE LAND. There are many more long and boring parts to this saga that I'm too tired to get in to.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand here come the fireworks...
Well my dog was put down by the vet......I was told it was most likely rat poison.
She was definitely baited though......I've never used poison on my property at all (I have a cat and dogs) and the place is fenced (as previously mentioned).
So she could only have been given something with a fatal dose.
I was told that dogs eating vermin that had consumed poison wouldn't be enough to have that effect.
No way I could prove who did the baiting though.
Never thought about that, though I would just be in the same position as you, being unable to prove it. In theory anyone could have came onto the property and done it. Dog seemed fine one day and the next he was dead. I have no idea officially what did it. It made me very sad. I had the dog since he was a puppy.
NOPE. SOME MORE FIREWORKS. AWESOME.
