I subscribed to Gamefly for a while too, but the only games you can get are really old. Everyone has the new games queued up forever.

That's not a bad idea. I have considered getting into trading rather than buying...

I was a member at Goozex a LONG time ago. I quit after someone bitched about a DC game I traded...he said it was all scratched up (it wasn't) and I got no game in return.

Goozex has fees and then there is this...

Plus, you can't get any games anymore, so points are pretty much worthless. It's a catch 22. People don't trade games because they have an accumulation of points, so even less games go into the system which stops people from trading in their games, and people just sit on thousands of points. I have a feeling that site will go away before the end of 2012 and people are just going to lose their points.

Anyway yeah, if you can work game for game trades it really works out quite well. I rarely do that (done maybe 2 or 3 icr) as it's not really my thing but I still use that site all the time for buying and selling because there are no fees. From what I see there are plenty of game for game trades with newer console games going on regularly.

The sections I frequent (vintage and imports) are far less active. I usually don't bother keeping up with the general and console marketplace boards there. First page is usually all from the current day.
