I wonder if I could get Windows 98 to install on the ol' desktop. I have been looking into it will only go (without tweaking) on a system with 512MB RAM. Which is fine, I can remove some of the RAM, since it has 512MB x2 + 1GB in there. Dunno if it'll work with a PCI-E graphics card, AM2 Sempron 3200+ etc...I've not used Windows 98 for fucking years.

Considering that now for something to do.

Problem is that I'll install it then have nothing to do on it because I don't use a computer for anything other than web browsing.

How do I know if my laptop will accept PC6400 RAM instead of the PC5300 that's in there now?

Download and install CPU-Z to it or SiSoft Sandra they have tools that analyse your pc and can tell you what you can use

CPU Z just says I have 2x PC5300 sticks. Don't know whether PC6400 will work in this Acer.

Oh wow. This is the first time I've ever installed 98 before. But on the setup screen it says "If your computer stops responding for a long period of time, switch it off and back on again"

And Windows 98SE is up and running in VMWare. No idea what I'm actually going to use it for though.

Windows 98 seems pretty darn unusable online. Or at least IE5 is anyway. Tried to install Firefox, Chrome and IE6, won't go. Can't get on most websites.

Why cant there be dozens of Metroid/Castlevania games for GBA/DS??
(Was having such a ball with 'Zero Mission', bopping along grabbing power-ups, and getting lost in the graphics/music, and now it appears I'm at the 'Mother Brain' room! Sheeeesh.... seems like I just started.... )

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.....I'm wore the hell out....too much cooking...too many gifts....too much stimulation....

Good afternoon everyone, hope you haven't got a hangover. Just uploaded the pictures of the collection me and my brother have been doing.

Nice one, very nice! It all looks so 'hi-techy', though....where are the older consoles and sticker-laden cartridges?!

Decide to break the seal on Skyrim and play it. 15 minutes into the intro section and the game freezes. THIS BODES WELL.
