    Default Help please (running ePSXe)

I have all the plugins, bios, and ect. + two games to test the ePSXe 1.7.0 but i keep getting a black screen every time i try to run the games.

first, the games are .bin and i think are able to play... right?
    next, my PC has

    chip: Intel GMA 300
    DirextX: DirectX 11
CPU: Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00 GHz (2CPUs)
    Windows 7 (64 Bit)
    and 2048MB RAM

Like ive said ePSXe 1.7.0 and ive tried every plugin that works with windows and all give me a black screen...

    Please help.

are you sure your file is .bin and not .bin.ecm you have to unecm .bin.ecm files first using ecm tools from here just drag the file to unecm and it should give you a regular .bin that you can play by going to load iso

    www.emuparadise.org/PSX/ecm%20tools.rar

also I recommend petes D3D DX6 video plug for your setup.

what games are you trying to get running and what is your config for video and sound this may sound strange but some people have had problems running certain games on epsxe without the sound enabled.

Are you sure that you have everything set correctly? it what game are you trying to play? from experience ive found that black screens are ether caused by a bad ISO or incorrect settings. my computer has also got an Intel chip set so the settings i use may also work for you.

Ignore the Gfx card setting as you will probaly have more video ram than me because your computer is newer than mine and probaly has more v ram

Also, make sure all of your video card drivers are up to date and that you have the latest version of directx installed.

have you setup a cd rom driver?
a good start is to use the epsxe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0 driver a ASPI driver probaly won't work as your computer wont have the correct stuff installed, ASPI drivers will only work on older versions of windows such as windows 95/98. unless you have 3 third party drivers installed.

also try the default sound driver that comes with epsxe.

Make sure that you are using the latest drivers avaliable for epsxe, also make sure that you have put everything in the right folders

out of curiosity did you use the wizard thing to set it up? it does make things alot easyer the first time around

Heres some links to guides on setting up epsxe
