    Default Pokemon SoulSilver

Just curious as to how well this game is or isn't emulated right now. For the record i'm currently using Desmume 9.6, but i'll switch emulators if i need to to play this game. System specs are Pentium 4 Cpu with hyperthreading, windows XP media center edition, video card is a NvidiaGeForce 7900 GTX(512MB of integrated memory for it) and 2GB of RAM. Also do i need a patched rom to play this game, or will a clean one work? The one i'm currently using I downloaded off of the main site.

    EDIT
hmmn okay it seems that i only get 51-58 FPS in the room you start off in with the screen set to the lowest possible size. Guess for this game at least my computer isn't good enough. Or maybe a different emulator is in order for it.....suggestions? For Mario and Luigi: partners in time, i can get full FPS most of the time(not far in the game yet) The only times I lag are during screen changes, saving, and sometimes during cut scenes. Outside of that i get 60 FPS 100% of the time.

    EDIT AGAIN
oh and if you're going to suggest an emulator, please include a link of where to get it from.
    FURTHER EDITING
another thing i find confusing is that on the desmume homepage i see versions 0.9.8 and 1.0.3 listed, but when i go to the downloads page, it stops at 0.9.6.

FPS drop, or lags is normal when emulating SS(and other Pokemon games) on low end PC, but try changing the frameskip value between 1 - 3, and hope you'll get some improvement from it.

However if not, small FPS drop isn't much a problem, I guess. Unless that makes the game totally unplayable.

You can try using No$gba/No$Zoomer, but not recommended due to its compatibility.

hmmn i'm afraid framskip will not help the problems in Desmume. Upon getting outside the house i get a steady 36 FPS, which is obviously quite pathetic. I will check into NO$GBA with zoomer though i've heard you need some kind of action replay code due a black screen problem. So far i've only been able to find half a code anywhere i look. Anyone actually have the full code?

    EDIT
on a side note Desmume might get better for the game at some later version. Currently on Desmume i actually get can't see the pokemon in the intro before you start a new game.(its just glitched graphics on that part of the screen.)

@rmcin329, you only need these codes to fix the black screen issue on No$gba/No$Zoomer.

I know there are cheats for Black/White that disable the "3D" which drastically improves FPS.

Not sure if such codes exist for SS/HG, but it wouldn't hurt to look.

well if you find such codes(Or a patch that does the same even) for HG/SS feel free to post them. @meganova, thank you that accounts for the other half of the code that was missing, now i can get past the black screen and actually play.

    EDIT
Things seem to be going well for the most part, though i've noticed the emulator likes to crash about once per 2 hours causing moderate loss of work i've been doing on the game. Is there any codes for forcibly evolving pokemon like Graveler on this game? I doubt i could achieve a successful local link between 2 copies of an emulator to do the trading myself(dont think my CPU could handle doing that....) and even if i could, i dont think any of the emulators yet have fully working link capability.
