I think I used to play some Warioland. Never played Metroid other than Metroid Prime. Never played Star Wars on the GB either.

Wario Land 2 was absolutely awesome. I loved how when you went through the game the first time, you could have taken several different paths, and you can then go back and do each different path on the world map. It was just a fantastic portable game. I miss playing it now... =/
I still remember most of the paths and levels actually

It just made an awesome dashboard, especially because it was so easy to start up games that were saved to the HDD and emulators. Not to mention. ZOMG YOU CAN CHANGE THE FRONT LIGHT COLOR!!!

I tried the first 2. Didn't care too much for them. I get the appeal, but I just didn't like the gameplay mechanics. Not to mention I was never a Nintendo guy, so I didn't own a GC or Wii, therefore missed out on a lot of those games.

Old side scrolling Metroids are the best, didn't like Prime as much. Super Metroid on SNES scared the SHIT out of me when I was little.

Star Wars was alright too. Can't remember if I ever completed it but I know I made it to the last level a few times.

Can remember playing Super Metroid at my uncle's when I was really little. Being shit scared trying to escape when timed after killing the first boss.

He always used to play the Super Star Wars games as well.

Great game. I loved how instead of dying you had to strategically use the effects of certain enemy hits to solve puzzles and make it past obstacles. It was so cleverly done for a portable game.

Ah, that bit wasn't too bad. But afterwards you go to Zebes in the middle of a thunderstorm and the entire place just looks abandoned, so you explore a little bit and find the morph ball upgrade. You backtrack and use an elevator, at which point the music changes to something out of a horror movie and suddenly there's monsters and things that jump off walls and OH JESUS IT'S HORRIBLE WHERE'S THE FUCKING POWER BUTTON.

Alas I have neither the money, the space nor the desire to purchase one.

Exactly. It was just fantastic. I wish more games were like that. It didn't rely heavily on the hardware power or any one game mechanic, but instead it was truly clever and puzzling.

But it has a good Wario game on it, apparently.

    I finished it.

    Eventually.

    When I was 14.

And it's now pretty much my favourite game ever. Weird how that works out.
