    Spoiler warning:
They don't even explain the Djinn Jar further; he shoots the thing and it's off to the boring final boss fight.
They were continuing John Dee's mission. Except sorta fictionalized and made EEEEVVVIIILLL.

As in, one great British Empire spanning the world, under fear. Just as demonic space demon angel god intended. It's also why the endboss is Talbot (Dee stand-in) as opposed to Marlowe (Elizabeth stand-in). With Drake obviously standing in for his adoptive ancestor. IT'S SYMBOLIC!

The Djinn jar was some sort of super hallucinogenic agent. Solomon (egggghhhh, poorly researched, perhaps?) sealed it in a jar then put it down there trying to contain the "magic" (hallucinations). Turns out, whatever's in there is water soluble. Whoops.

If you liked action games that much, I guess you'd play them yourself, Shard...

Gypsy, in response to your post in GG, not being able to enjoy the online modes, a great addition to the game that per se is a good reason to not rent it.

Maybe if the gameplay looked enjoyable. I played a bit of the second and decided I'd continue watching the games rather than playing.

I was trying to be a little more tactful but that's basically what I was getting at, yeah. I think you have to actively dislike action games to not enjoy Uncharted to at least some degree. And I've yet to see Shard like any game that isn't an RPG.

Shard just needs to off himself already.

He's like a bitchy old man.

Or an old woman. Who somehow manages to still be on the rag.

If you didn't enjoy UC2 that confirms that action games is not really your favourite genre %)))))

Off to play something, I wonder what..

If these Uncharted games are like the Tomb Raiders, I'd love to give 'em a go....

Are these games called 'Action'? I always thought 'Adventure' fit them better. Not as DEEP or involved as an rpg, but not so 'mindless' that there is nothing to do other than mash buttons.

Even I loved Uncharted 2, and action games and I are not good friends to say the least.
