It's basically just a fancy version of their usual stepping/powersaving stuff.

No matter what settings I put it on i get 5FPS.

Ultra, High, Medium , Low, it doesn't make a difference.

Yeah, it's definitely not a RAM issue. I've only got 2GB And it runs without any problems for me.
Even my processor is less powerful than yours. Sounds like a hiccup with the engine to me.
