Question Opinions on the MicroSDs ?

I have seen THREE types of these MicroChip things; one that fits the camera, one that fits the PSPs, and the tiniest one that goes into the AceCard2i, I'm speaking of this last one.

Just learned a few minutes ago that these things come as large as 32 GB. (Unless I missed something, are there larger ones?) I'm not sure if I should be buying several 'smaller' ones, or one or two LARGE ones, what do YOU prefer? They will strictly be for ROMs, we dont really mess around with movies or music on the DS'. We only have a standard SanDisk 2 GB at the time, and it holds a dozen or so DS games, more than enough. Dunno too much about the tech end of these tiny chips, but simple math dictates that if I can harbor over 12 games on a 2 GB, than I should be able to hold well over 200 games on a 32 GB, eh?
Like I'm saying, though, putting 'all my eggs in one basket' might not be the best way to go here. Maybe I ought to space our games out over, say, several 4, 8, and 16 GBs? I wish they werent so damned tiny, I was thinking that I could use color-coded labels on the chips to signify game types/systems/moods/etc.

    Anyhow.......

One 8GB and you'll have enough space for a ton of games, especially if you trim them.

Yeah, you are probably right, maybe a 32 would be too "greedy" of me. Not sure what 'trimming' a game really means, but I can surmise. I'll go and grab a couple on E-Bay right now, unless you know of cheaper?
(They are $8-$10 each, right now..)

Is this an item that is 'name brand specific', or? I have seen 'Kingston' and SanDisk' at this price, maybe a bit less in bulk if I take the high road to China...

    Thanks.

That store has a lot of storage media for cheap. Wherever you buy, make sure you get a class 4 or higher card. I don't know about greedy but, 32GB is excessive for DS roms . Trimming is removing dummy and padding files from the rom.

Gotcha, dont want any 'dummies' on my ROMs, heh.

Thanks for the link. That place seems decent enough, but I found a guy on E-Bay that will sell me SIX of the 8 GB SDs for $30, and no charge for shipping. That price seems very nice, yes? Or?

    Thanks again...

For Nintendo DS Usage I dont recommend going above 8GB I Found flashcards take too long to read the rom list otherwise
