Whenever you leave a ranked dungeon (one of the time trial objective dungeons), you lose 1% of that's world "land share" or "goddess share" (something like that) to an "Other" category. Also, whenever Neptune dies, you lose 1% of that world's land/goddess share to the "Other category" as well. When you complete events on a certain world, you gain a certain portion of the share back by taking it away from the three other worlds. However, it's nearly impossible to get anything back from the Others category. You can get a little bit back, but if you die too many times or if you leave a ranked dungeon without completing it too many times, you can lock yourself out of events for later in the game, because certain events only open up when you get to 50% land/goddess shares in that area.

I was trying to find a good wiki article for you to take a look at, since you might have a better grasp of it, having played the game before, but that's my understanding. Mostly just from reading the trophy map on PS3T.
It's not the sort of game you can just platinum in a single run. Like other Idea Factory games, there are a boatload of events, take your time with it.

You have to play through both paths on Trinity Universe to get the best ending .
Not IF but, Atelier Rorona has a ton of endings .

    Actually, this one is.

Provided I know information ahead of time, it's totally possible to do this in one playthrough. Just have to restart my game if I die and not leave any ranked dungeons, make sure I don't recruit any of the goddesses until NG+, and make sure I defeat one of each of the "unique" monsters in the story quests that I can't go back to easily.

    Otherwise, totally doable.

I've never played a game multiple times for different endings.

    Ever.

    Played it.

Got stuck toward the beginning of the game.

    Never finished it.

I should clarify this: one full playthrough, replay the boss battle after recruiting the goddesses, then cleaning up in NG+. So, like... 1.5 playthroughs, I guess.

I think I need to find some food and stop staring at the TV, though.

All of these boob jokes are going straight to my penis.

I usually get the ending I want and then I'm done .

I played through Growlanser II all the way through, every time, for each ending .
