Final Fantasy XIII was super disappointing. It looked super cool before it came out but it was a total piece of shit once I actually got it. Super lame story that ramps up to mediocre near the end. Super linear and boring game, thinking back on it I have no idea how I forced myself to finish that game. Don't recall any challenge in that game either...

Search your mind, you know there was a bad game in your past!

YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE!

    Nothing comes to mind. 8)

In all seriousness I'm sure I played some stinkers on N64 back in the day but I remember enjoying them all at the time (ah the perils of youth). No incredibly horrible titles come to mind though (that I played, of course the N64 had horrible games).

Honestly, I was disappointed with Chrono Cross. I see why people like the game, but something about the combat system really threw me off. I just could not find myself getting into the game. After several attempts, I never got half way through it.

Another game I was massively let down by was CoMW2. No dedicated servers, awful netscript, poor balancing with guns, and just really boiled down and rehashed gameplay. I was seriously disappointed. It was nothing like the original Modern Warfare was for the computer, it just didn't have that sense of community at all, and there were no mods or anything. It was basically a straight console port, with really trimmed down gameplay. It just wasn't what I wanted at all. I guess I see why people enjoy it, but it's not what the PC community was looking for at all.

Thought about this for awhile. I was let down a bit by Demons Souls. Not a huge amount, because it was a decent game. But from all of the things that I was hearing and more importantly who I was hearing them from, yeah it was a bit of a let down.

All games ever made for the N64 were a huge letdown, all of them, 387 with the exception of Banjo-Kazooie.Abysmal console.

    Hi,I have some!(Also I'm new)
    1 Summon Night:Twin Age
Great story, characters, etc. But I have a problem with the gameplay. It is so different from Swordcraft Story 1 and 2,these were my childhood games.
At least it still stick with fast-paced gameplay(some odd reason many JRPG is turned based)

    2 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Ubisoft...please finish the series before making side-games.Don't be like Square Enix(WHERE IS KH3????)
Don't get me wrong.I love the additional stuff and multiplayer. The story is great too,but I see lack of character development.(Maybe its just me)
Can you at least put some MORE character development with Revelation?
    IHMO,We had enough of Ezio.

    3 Final Fantasy 13
Nows my turn to trash this game.Storyline,good.Gameplay,weird but can get used too.Characters...Y U PUT DEPRESSING CHARACTERS AGAIN???
I swear to god that (nearly) every FF need a dark past.Make the main character a lil bit happy for once, but don't over do it(I HATE YOU SQUALL)
My let down is at the Final Boss.Don't wanna spoil anything but it looks kinda...plain.We used to fight gods and angles that destroy most planets on our solar system but...
This?It a bit challenging I have to say.Oh yeah...SUPER SAIYAN is there,so overall not THAT bad.

    4 Final Fantasy 9
I swear to god the final boss here is the worst final boss in FF history.Appears out of nowhere,No background story,RIPS WORDS OUT OF YODA!!!!
    Anyway,everything else is amazing.

    Soooooo yeah...that about it.

Heh, the only letdown i have had in a long time was the legend of zelda on the CD-i... and that was a true letdown. i got it as a birthday present from my uncle, and boy was i miserable with the stiff controls. but other than that, i can't think of any let downs in a video game i have had, other than Super Mario Bros. 2, which i just couldn't get into.

Well, I never had an N64 as a kid and I've just recently started playing games on the N64, I have to say... well, folks, I'm ready for your shitstorm... that Legend of Zelda OOT and MM were pretty much the exact opposite of what people have been saying to me. I've heard people praising those games to death, and I can't honestly see why, I think they're mediocre at best. Is there something I should be playing before those games, because I really can't get in to them. And yes, I've played the NES and SNES LoZ games before. Am I missing something?

Oh, and Super Mario 64 was a bit dissappointing too.

I shall wait for the shitstorm.

lol, everybody is entitled to an opinion. I also found SM64 to be disappointing due to the physics in the game. Otherwise, its good. I haven't played LoZ MM, but OoT was great in my opinion. It really just depends on the person.

Oh, and another game i thought of that was a let down for me was Starfox Assault. The gameplay was mediocre in my honest opinion.
