I can get up to 800Kbps on my connection on steam and instead it downloads 80 Kbps, stupid wifi card.

I get around 150 KBps. When I got the game it said it would take 30 minutes to download, I was so excited!

Then I realized it said 500 KBps, and that's no where NEAR what I get. I don't know why steam can't calculate my internet speed properly.

Speaking of bad connections, the GF has BT and it's 2mbps. Kept getting booted from Xbox Live when playing Gears 3.

Maybe it's just that steams servers are already being used so they're giving more people slower speeds than fewer people getting good speeds.

Plausible to download something at those speeds. At 10 it's barely better than my crap ass connection .

Maybe, but our internet is pretty crappy. If I recall correctly, we SHOULD have decent internet (it's what we're paying for) but there's something wrong with the lines or something.

Make them fix it, you're paying for the service.

I had to prod a friend into calling his ISP to remove the cap they put on his connection years ago.
