I'd rather have the original, just in case I run into something that the PS3 won't play for some reason.

Although maybe I should sell off some of these Final Fantasy games... might be able to make $20 for all of them.

And I have a similar problem with the providers around here. There are basically three: Rogers, Telus, and Shaw. I haven't heard too many great things about Rogers (they are a lot bigger out East); Telus has a terrible connection, but they are by far the cheapest (I went through them for a little bit); Shaw has no contracts and the best quality of products, but they are the most expensive if you get the full package (I was paying $144/month for extremely basic home phone, their second lowest grade of Internet, and slightly better than basic TV).

But Shaw's Internet is the best. <3
I always worry that my PSX just won't even turn on someday lol. My SNES? No problem there, that thing will be running smooth when I'm 80, but my PSX? I have no reason to think it'll fail, but it just seems so fragile sometimes.

You could probably get a decent price per an FF if you have the case and book, more if it's black label. They sell those things for a nice sum at used games stores. Get Quiji to sell it for you

I refuse to have television or a home phone service. Netflix and my cellphone work just fine. I cannot live without internet, though. I'm seriously dependent on it for everything.

I'm out for a while. Lunch time. See you all later.

    Same.

I've had two cats in my life, both with girlfriends. Said girlfriends would take the cats when we broke up, even though I bought and fed them.

I'm done with pets for a while, I think.

The only thing that ever fails on original Playstations is the laser. Pretty much the same story for PS2s too.

Is the $75 just for internet? I'm surprised they don't have contracts, usually everything is contractual these days.

All of them are complete and in fantastic condition (the discs don't have any scratches, the manuals don't even look like they've been opened) but VII and VIII are the Greatest Hits editions. I think I remember looked it up on eBay about a year ago, and I could probably get around $10 for each of them. I also have Tactics, Anthology and Origins in the same condition. But it's more a matter of getting around to selling them -- I don't like dealing with selling stuff on eBay.

I liked having TV for hockey games, but I'm looking at getting the NHL Game Center package thing through my PS3, since I've heard pretty good things about it and it means I can also watch Oilers games (which are rarely televised out here ). Beyond that, TV was a waste of money. I normally wouldn't get home phone, either, but I need it so that the intercom to my building will work. Otherwise, I'm the same way as you -- as long as I have Internet, I'm happy. And I just got Netflix last week and love it so hardcore right now.

    Have a good lunch.

Internet and landline. And yeah, that's part of their gimmick. No contracts.

That's a solid service. None of my friends understand the value of a landline .

I honestly don't remember ever hearing a Nirvana track until I was about thirteen.

I used to be hardcore with them, but honestly now I rarely find myself listening to them anymore.

I can't listen to them now, but I used to adore the unplugged album they did for MTV. I used to watch it off a VHS tape all the bloody time as a kid!

Quite honestly, they are the best providers out here, hands down. I've never had any problems with them, and their speeds are fantastic. I pay $49/month for 7.5MBps and 125GB transfer, but usually get around 12-15MBps. (the uploads are pretty terrible, but I'm honestly not that bent out of shape about that). And I have to agree that a landline is pretty awesome once you start realizing how easy it is to burn through cellphone minutes. Especially calling long distance. Talk to my parents for 45 minutes and only get charged $1? Yes please.
