Also, ha ha SEGA. Why? Because these games are pretty much direct copy+paste jobs of the DC discs right down to the compression methods and spreadsheet layouts. They're just using a custom engine that makes the game content PC compatible. Kinda like an uber simplified DC emulator that runs one game only. No wonder the DC was so easy to dick around with. They seem to have intentionally made it easy for potential future ports/projects.

In terms of how this works out from a coding perspective, it means that an altered DC hacking app would work provided you alter a thing or two such that it's prepared to work with/around the few lines of PC compatible code they jury rigged in there. At least, if I'm looking at this right. Which sorta seems to be the case.
