I considered it, but I'd much rather play it on a console or emulator. PSP screen is just too small to hold my attention for long

It's the same in both versions.

And that's really more of a primer than a full on tutorial.

It tells you what button does what and shows you the basic way of handling dungeons and whatnot.

Compare to something like FFXIII where they explain every single mechanic in extreme detail, lock you out of abilities for a good chunk of the game, and hold your hand constantly.

For instance, they tell you what the gems are for like once, and they never really go into huge amounts of detail on how to get them or set up overkills. You're on your own with that. Most games would tell you "use ability X to launch, then use Y to hit in the air. Now that your meter is maxed, time and coordinate attacks to maximize gem output".

Ok. I wasn't really planning on using a walkthrough, but I might just refer to it from time to time, rather than using it for every step of the way. Also, great, I find out I can keep the artifacts after I already gave them up I still don't really understand what they do though, I'm going to see if I can't find a wiki on the game or something.

Your PSP is modded, no? You need to look into remotejoylite. It allows you to stream the picture to your computer's monitor, as well as allowing you to use a USB joypad to control it.

Dammit, I've been at war with some yellowjackets since I woke up. Killed probably near 30 of the fuckers already. They somehow keep invading the bathroom. I don't know where in the hell they are getting in at, seeing how the window is closed tight.

Just cross your fingers and hope it's just something irritating in the air.

The party has found a treasure chest.

    There is no trap.
    >Open
Oh no! There was a poisoned needle trap. _____ is damaged by the poison. There was nothing else inside, though.

I swear I'm never opening another chest in this game ever again.

You still playing that Wizardry demo?

Sounds like your party needs to be a little more observant.

Yeah, just about to the end of the things available to me though. Haven't been able to decide if I want to break down and pay to unlock the rest of the game. I tried to play one of the similar games on the DS the other night, and couldn't get into it as well for some reason. Although the Retro setting available in the Dark Spire is pretty cool.

My party just sucks. I haven't invested much time in creating potentially decent characters as I haven't decided if I'm going to play beyond the demo. I have two characters that I made quickly and without much thought, the other four are just premades (including the main character, which you have to choose from a set of ten at the start).

I have another program that works even better, called PSPdisp, over LAN I could play GTAIV on my PC with maxed out graphics, on my PSP. It was insanely awesome. Over the internet it worked nearly as good, but the little bit of lag got on my nerves with games
