So, is Deus Ex HR worth looking into? I haven't heard much about it, and I've never played the original, so I'm not sure if I should pick it up or not.

Everyone I've talked to who has played it have said it's awesome. If you've played the first one and enjoyed it, you'll more likely than not enjoy HR.
You'll probably want to talk to someone who's actually played it, though, to get a better idea. Sage did a livestream of it a few nights ago, you should be able to find a replay of it in his thread somewhere in the LP section. (What Sage's stream when they're bored, I think it's called)

Now I need to work up the ambition to play Castlevania again. I was doing fine until we started playing Uncharted 2. Just beat Chapter 3. Which was... incredibly short.
