Already watched the anime, it was meh. I was talking about the visual novel, I'm reading it right now because I heard it was better than the show. It kinda is, but the protagonist still needs to be slapped for his shitty "lol back to the kitchen saber" attitude.He sorta gets over it. By which I mean he at least stops moaning about people who exist solely to fight being involved in fights. He still has his moments though

As for a serious slap, he does eventually get one. Several, in fact. In the mean time, you can always steer him towards the numerous hilarious bad ends.
