Actual turn based games, or TBRPGs and RPGs with a turn based battle system?

Give me examples of each, and I'll tell you. But I strongly dislike turn based battle systems (with a few exceptions, such as Pokemon and the first Final Fantasy), and something tells me that whatever the first one is, I probably dislike it too.

I don't think things through properly.

I end up not realizing how much damage is being dealt with each hit and die repeatedly because my healing options can't keep up.

I turn off the console out of boredom/frustration (depending on the game) and never put that cartridge/disc back in again.

I just don't like them. Therefore, I'm not as interested in them. Therefore, I don't actually pay attention to what I'm doing. Therefore, I give up on them. Pretty much every time.
