Hi Tan. Not much on my end, really. It's hot as hell outside and school starts in a few weeks. Which means traveling an hour to campus in this hellfire. It's still a million times better than winter, though.

I disagree. After all, you can always put on another layer if you get cold, but there's only so much you can take off in the heat

Are you also studying the language? Or just playing ToD2 this way due to your your language fetish?

After seeing a bit of Chinese, the 2000-something kanji you have to memorize for Japanese suddenly sounds a lot less scary.

I personally endure the heat pretty well, so for me it's not a problem. But it's not just the temperature; I find snow, grey skies and leafless trees rather depressing. I know there are people who think it's pretty, but I prefer my environment to be all green and stuff.

I studied it last year, and decided to pick it up again recently. I figured I'd stop messing about with lots of random languages and take a serious crack at actually learning one well. And Chinese seemed as good a choice as any with its ties to Japanese and its general usefulness in today's world.

I know, right? And add to that that you have to learn both Simplified and Traditional forms of the characters if you want to understand things from both mainland China and Hong Kong / Taiwan. Nuts. It's actually not that difficult a language if you've already learned Japanese, though. Tons of vocabulary crosses over, and Chinese grammar is generally very simple. The main challenge for someone who already knows Chinese characters is the tones. :'D

Tanthias: I'm good. About to go out and meet a friend for a fun day at the museum~! How about you?

And motorways are serious fucking business. Perfect on the way down, and 2 fucktards almost causing accidents on the way back.

Someone driving a 4x4 with a massive trailer on the back doing about 70 instead of a reasonable speed like 40 and it was swaying like fuck.

Then some idiot in a motorhome changed lane when a car was about a metre or two behind at the most. That would've been a massive accident...

Man, New Vegas really does get broken when you're running around at level 45.

    I hate living in flats.

People are in the next block installing a new kitchen and bathroom and they're making a racket. Not good for my head when I'm pretty tired.
