Some actually prefer to hire people who have experience over education. Usually because it's easier to instruct someone on site than to take someone who has a head full of theory but little in the way of practical knowledge and turn them into a functioning employee.

In other cases, it's a highly intellectual field and you usually need to know a shitload of stuff. In those cases, a degree is required for entry period.

Connections matter more, but for applications where you don't personally know the guys involved the qualifications matter a lot.
ugh, bleh. I'm going for computer science, I really hope the degree will actually help me get somewhere...

That'll depend on exactly what you want to do in the field. Its almost a necessity for some IT jobs, not particularly relevant to others.

It's even better when you actually have a degree, but it still doesn't matter because you need an even better one.

Installed AVG on my phone, and with that came location and security services. I can locate, lock, completely wipe, etc. my phone via the web.

Interestingly enough, my phone is currently located about 150 miles off the coast of Africa in the Gulf of Guinea

Excuse my shitty cellphone recording, I liked this comeback, and I've got a better one.

I play an extremely annoying and cheap Sagat. :3
