Also it must be confusing as fuck trying to drive on the road after being used to heel and toe, double clutching and left foot braking and shit.

Right foot for accelerator and brake? WTF.

    Maybe.

Would love to buy a car and do it up from the ground up for track days.

It would be a massive time and money sink though.

I drove a manual as my first car (truck actually) for about 4 years.
Now driving an automatic, I use my left foot for the brake.

If you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.

The car I'd like for trackdays would be an old Ford Sierra XR4i. The engines have so much potential for power...

Apparently some people can't left foot brake since the clutch and brake pedals feel really different?

Well from little experience I have the clutch is easier to press than brake, also you have to ease the brake on or you will jerk the car.

Also I heard you're supposed to use your right foot for braking and accelerating because you should not be pressing both pedals at once.

Left foot braking is a racing technique, not a normal driving technique.

And obviously if you slam the brakes on or push the pedal too quickly you're going to make the car jerk.
