It's not revenge, it's punishment.

Anyway, that doesn't make it a better penal system and doesn't mean it can't be changed either. To rehabilitate and to punish, both are needed in a penal system, but in this case the proportionality principle between crime and punishment is missing.

I have no idea what you're all talking about since I haven't seen the news in a while, but 75 people? That's absolutely insane.
I'm personally in favor of the death penalty, but more as a last resort/depending on the severity of the crime.

I couldn't have done it a year ago. Language learning is so much like levelling up in an RPG. It's rarely a gradual progression. You soldier on for ages feeling as if you're making no progress, and then something clicks in your brain and all your stats have suddenly improved.

Now if only I had something that told me how much I needed for my next level up.
