Default In-game Crash and system shutdown for PSP?

When executing an iso on the PSP, for what possible reason might be the cause when while executing a game, that when it attempts to load a certain stage or screen, that the game will just hang, crash before shutting down the system?

Because, I've been having this problem with a total of 2 games now: Rockman Rockman (when attempting either Elecman or Gutsman's stages) and Kenka Banchou: Badass Rumble.

Both these games, while loading a particular stage/ area, hangs the system before shutting the entire system down. This keeps happening at a particular points of in the game.(when attempting to access either Elecman or Gutsman's stage in Rockman Rockman, after the first fight in Kenka Banchou)

The CFW used is 5.00 m33-4 on a PSP2000 model.

    Default

What is the format of your game? uncompressed it back to .ISO if it was in .CSO.
Try running the game with default CPU Speed, or set it to the lowest.
and disable any plugins you have.

You might want to update your current firmware to m33-6, or to any latest CFW, which either this or this one.

    Default

    It was in iso format.

Apparently, the problem with one of those games was because I set the CPU speed to 300. Switching it to default fixed the problem....weird.

I contemplated once on updating, but do I need the Pandora's battery to update? Cause I dont have one.

    Default

Some games may not work well if you set the CPU Speed at higher value, it more preferable to set it as Default.

and since you're already on m33-4, just download this, put the UPDATE folder into your /PSP/GAME folder(or just move the EBOOT files if you already have the UPDATE folder), and then run the updater from your XMB.
For the latest CFW, just follow the tutorials which I have posted previously.
