I was using a guide at the beginning, but found that I wasn't enjoying the game as much 'cause I was pausing every few minutes to check where shit was. So I'm just going to go through and enjoy it for now, then I'll come back later and use a guide to find all the orbs. And while I'm in the middle of that, I'll grab the remaining masks.

Also, have fun with the giant ass mech battle in Chapter 8. It's giving me a few problems at the moment. Fucking brawlers.

Yeah I heard about a horrible difficulty spike around about that point. I've been upgrading my stuff as said in the guide at PS3trophies.org though, so hopefully I don't have too much trouble with it...

Figuring it out on my own is part of the fun.

I upgraded my stuff using the same guide, but I'm well beyond the point of that guide so far. Basically just been updating melee stuff. Although my main complaint, at the moment, is that it doesn't tell you how to use some of those special things that you purchase. At least, as far as I've seen. It keeps telling me my Focus Attack is ready, but I have no idea how to unleash it. Or what it even does.

I use guides for collecting. That's really about it. The rest of the game I play through on my own. In particular puzzles. If you can't solve a puzzle, you don't deserve to go onto the next level.

Chapter 8 done.

Gotta admit, I'm really loving the story to this. I don't want to spoil anything for Inferno, but there's definitely a darker side to this that I'm quite enjoying.
Also, I can see why you associated it with Prince of Persia 2008. Plays a similar way, with better fighting designs.
