Do you have a "package" for me, mister postman?

I enjoyed it. Felt like an all around improvement of a game concept that I didn't hate in the first place. Clearly it's going to pan out pretty well.
Sure they seriously neglected the future storyline just when it started to really get moving, but they substituted that with a lot of backstory bridging the Animus segments to the modern day with bits of pre-AC1 stuff via subject 16. And I always kind of enjoyed the alternate history route. So there's that.
Although the gun did seem a bit overpowered. It's just too good for general use. By the end it was pretty much my primary assassination tool. Out of the 9 or so assassination jobs during the Bonfire of the Vanities I recall using it like 8 times to take out the target. When combined with the BS that is smoke bombs (which covered most of the fuckups I had during that sequence), combat becomes pretty laughable.
And the money making/shop system seemed a bit lacking. By the end I was a multi millionaire with nothing to buy aside from replacements for my spent smoke bombs/bullets/throwing knives.
But I hear they "fixed" both of those and added some combat improvements in the next one. So I guess I'll see in time where that goes.
So yeah, liked it and it was well worth the time spent on it. And it kind of made me feel like grabbing the next sequel at some point. With a PSN release and the end of my financial worries the opportunity seemed ripe. And then better sales came along, and it became an offer I clearly couldn't refuse.![]()
