So anyone else see that the U.S. supreme court delcared video games protected speech of the first amendent? I think that is great news for all gamers.

Athlon II x3 435, 2.9 GHz, 8800GT (which is basically a 9800GT) and 2 gigs of RAM. I've toyed with the idea of overclocking, but gave up since I know jack shit about it. And I don't want to fry my CPU.
Honestly, I think the only reason I don't mind the slowdowns too much is because I've been a PC gamer for so long. I'm used to it, you see.![]()
Huh, that doesn't sound that different from my setup, except I can't find an equivalent of your Athlon II into Intel processors. And I see your card is quite capable, I'll try to hunt down a similar one. Thanks.
Yeah, I'm starting to get used to this, I can stand having some slowdowns when things go heavy in TF2. And I just told a classmate who wanted to try TF2 with a 360 controller to FUCKING FORGET ABOUT IT, CONSOLE IDI-OHGODWHATSHAPPENINGTOME and such.![]()
Yeah, the 8/9800GT is a pretty okay card even today, but it's like 4 years old. Overall, my PC is getting somewhat out of date. You could probably get a better card and it'd still be fairly cheap. The only reason I can run new games well on mine is because console graphics aren't getting any better.
By contrast, I could only get a decent FPS (35-40) in The Witcher 2 by playing in a lower resolution. Which still looked pretty decent with anti-aliasing enabled, but... y'know. It's not exactly the same as 1920x1080, the resolution I'm normally used to.
I remember getting bummed down at looking some cheap cards performances and thinking I had to invest serious amounts of cash, but then I realized that most of those tests used 1920x1080 as a base resolution with all the shit turned on.No wonder why it performs like crap then.
My monitor only reaches 1366x768 anyway. That said, I'm not that fixed on getting 70-80fps, if I can play the game nicely at 24-30 I'm happy with it. I'm a console guy you see.

Regarding wii emulation. I've also noticed you can get better speeds with different games. A good example of mine is playing DKCR and Kirby's Epic Yarn. While playing DKRC I had slow speeds, 15-20FPS. However while playing Kirby I was getting 30-40FPS. OF course the reason is obvious. Kirby is a less intensive resource game, while DKCR is.
Since we're talking about Wii games, here's some footage from the localized version of Xenoblade. Delicious British voices ahoy!

Anyway, Shulk's voice is surprisingly deep and manly compared to the original. I totally don't mind, though. Probably my only complaint is the lack of Dunban in the video.
Oh wow, I seriously can't get used to that voice for Shulk. :'D Suits his personality just fine, but such a huge contrast to the Japanese one. Not too bad, though! Even if it's still extremely surreal hearing British accents in Japanese games as opposed to Japanese or American.![]()
below is my top 10 best Role playing games, what do you think guys
I think you need to stop confusing role playing games with adventure games, personally.
