    Nah.
    It's because of the large file size. antivirus would detect them if there was viruses

    Depends on the AV, my friend managed to kill his computer with AV installed on the highest settings.

    This is the same friend that thought it was a good idea to take a laptop into the bathroom, immediately after he finished a shower.

    I told him to send it in to the company to have it fixed, it was still under warranty. Supposedly they couldn't fix it, and refused to ship it back to him. I think he would have needed to pay a fee, or shipping, and just forgot to.

    In the end he was out like... $1000 for the laptop and whatever it cost to ship it to them.
