Yes and the content was already, more or less, finished by 3D Realms. Gearbox supervised the project while Triptych finished putting the pieces back together and Piranha Games did the multiplayer + console port. If a sequel is made it's at least in competent hands.

Oh god, people are all over the map with this. I know people who adore it and others who treat it like E.T on the Atari 2600. It's absolutely insane, which makes me wonder if most people remembered Duke was mainly a game about humor and parody.

What do u expect from gamers that spend most of their time jerking their cocks and oversized clits to CoD?

Duke Nukem Forever is fun as hell, hilarious too. I got to play quite a bit of it tonight on the 360 at my best friends house. Loved it. It is easily a solid 7/10 if not a 8/10. I will be buying this for the PS3.

It's a solid game. It has a lot of problems, but I'm not terribly overcritical and I'm enjoying it as I go along.

Gearbox has already expressed an interest in doing another Duke game afterwards, one of their own. Which is why they purchased the IP. They even kept the old core 3d realms guys around and will probably involve them in the next project.

Regardless, Forever is an interesting game that I find worth playing. The console ports are really poorly done, but the PC one looks and plays excellently. The multiplayer is good oldfashioned insta-spawn fragfests. I was pleased with this.

Aye thats one of teh reasons I love Duke, its humor and over the top nature not to mention that duke games normally lower the bar some

if anyone is interested gog have Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project for $2.39 which is a good under rated duke game in the older side scroll style its a fun fast paced one too

I just beat it on the 360, I enjoyed it but it really wasn't perfect. Amusing game, but seemed to drag on a bit by the end...
