Maybe. There are more users in the chat than logged on forum members . If I could have just the online list, and sort by friends, it would be of greater use.

If anything, it would actually cost extra bandwidth, as it's a constant connection rather than loading once when you hit refresh. Most definitely won't get rid of the people asking stupid questions a thousand times. It would likely increase the number of those, as they can ask them in chat faster than they can post a new thread. Then they'll post a new thread asking the same question because no one in chat responds fast enough, or the people who actually know the answer don't bother to read chat because it's full of random people being annoying.

When I was new to emulating (before I joined the forums), I didn't understand how to work some stuff, but now I do.
