At our mall, there used to be two gamestops. One on the first floor and one on the second. The one on the bottom was a bit bigger. The one on top was a bit smaller. So what happens, the one that is a bit bigger gets closed, while the smaller one remains opended. When its crowded, its very hard to look for games in there. In fact, I don't even go in there when it is crowded, its pointless. We have one local shop, its ok, but they still rip you off. I wish we had a decent local shop.

Was that in the Mega Mall???

I have to say, I've had no bad experiences with GameStop. I've bought so many games there I get huge discounts and I get great deals. I pre-ordered Halo: Reach Standard Edition, and the guy gave me Legendary Edition. 'Nuff Said XD

I brought in a shitload of games, bring 'em up, and some fat tub'o like, starts effin' getting on my case. He was very unfriendly, and unlike the majority of people I've met workign at GameStops, was a douche who didn't bother with helping at all...

I bring up my games and he just starts opening, closing, opening, closing them; you know, checking I wasn't trying to rip him off. Then he gets to some games:

*Opens* "No game..." *tosses the case my way... no joke...*

*Picks up* "We don't take original XBox games." *Tosses back, literally...*

*Picks up* "We don't take original XBox games..." I heard you the first time, Fatty. But, why do you have a plethora of used XBox games if you don't take them?

*Picks up GTA: San Andreas, opens it* "This is the original. We don't take this."

Me: "The fuck? Why not?" (was more like, "Um... Ehh... W-...why?")

Him: "It has a sex scene."

    Me: "Oh...?" *pervy face*

However, I bought that San Andreas bundled with GTA3 and Vice City only months before that. The original was taken of the shelves long before that and changed to an AO rating...

So, we finish the deal (which I got a whole less amount of money I expected I would have gotten... I had a lot of XBox games...) and I try making small talk about upcoming releases, and he just responds to me like a freaking robot...

<.<; I hated that guy... He wasn't there long, though. Then this cool guy came in after the fat guy was *probably fired* gone, who let me use his special membership since Shin Megai Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 didn't have a game case, even though I was buying it new. He also gave me extra trade-in monies since it didn't come with a case... NOW THAT GUY WAS COOL.

Not to go off topic, but I think that if anyone is being that rude and unprofessional it's probably not personal. And as you have stated, the offending employee didn't last very long. I've had similar experiences, (in different establishments,) in which I have remained polite in the face of completely unfounded hostility and have left feeling very incensed over the ordeal. But I remained patient and didn't lower myself to their level, and lo and behold, in time those sour faces were replaced with people who were willing to make the tiny extra effort required to be decent and professional. What I'm getting at is that assholes eventually piss off the wrong person.

Heehee, yea... Piss off the wrong person... Like, a government official... Or Chuck Norris... Or a bear. I know what you mean, Bro ;T They'll get what's coming to them eventually. Besides, if I tried fighting him or something, he'd probably just sit on me and force me to watch Sailor Moon reruns.
