DNF demo downloaded, completed, and recorded.

It was an enjoyable experience, but the "updated" format of the game annoys me. I was hoping for a throwback to the FPS landscape of the 90's Instead we get a duke-ified version of the modern COD clone. It's not quite as terrible as it sound, but it's still not what I was hoping for.

And it appears to be relying pretty heavily on nostalgia factor. Whether or not that's a good thing is a matter of opinion. But I'm not sure it's something to totally base a game around. I'd like some innovation (which was a major part of what made DN3D so great). But hey, we get the opportunity to fling shit at people and watch shit blow up. So there's that.

Which part of my post? It is a demo, the actual game could have considerable changes.

The being the same person part. It was a joke.

I doubt the actual game is going to alter basic game mechanics such as allowing you to carry around more than 2 guns at a time. And even if they do, it doesn't change the fact that a lot of the weapons showcased are straight out of DN3D with no alteration (and in the case of the shrink ray, considerably less useful). I do hear that there's a medkit based option, and I hope that's the case, because I dislike the current regenerating ego meter.
