If you're near Irvine, there's a large Chinese store on Jeffrey and they have a very nice Asian book store inside. I picked up some rare Manhua comics years ago. It was kind of funny because at first the Asian clerk acted like I was this big white jerk, but then became a lot more polite when he saw that I had good taste and was a promising customer. I think the larger store is called 99 Market.
