I even have my own wiki.

I'm wondering how the hell it happened, but apparently it did.

There's even an extensive article on my bowel movements.

    Not in Mexico, no.

Nintendo still sells the Wii at $350-400 and the 3DS for $500.

It's saddening to see those gathering dust at stores and Xbox's being sold at the normal price and actually getting bought.

Yeah, tell me about it, MS is the only one that has kept a fair relation with the US prices. I got my Arcade 360 for $170 in 08 and it was $149 in the US, for example.
Sony sold the PS3 for $800-900 at launch, and Nintendo had the Wii for $700.

That makes no sense really. :/

What are tariffs like? Cause wouldn't it just be cheaper to get a US console?

edit: Assuming you don't just live near the border.

Those are horrible prices. I've been thinking about getting a Wii, my only interest is the new Zelda game and burned GC though. I still need a second PS3 before I go blowing money on something I'll barely play .

Because Nintendo and Sony have no presence here and have to do all their distribution through dealers who want a bigger cut, MS exports their consoles themselves to Mexico, so they handle shipping, exports, sales, etc, there's a reason why tech support is quick as hell to repair a console (sent mine twice, once for a damage, the second time because they sent me a dead laser 360 ) and they both took like a week or four days.

And yeah, I live really close to the border (Texas is about four hours or even less from here), so many people from here prefer to buy a PS3 or a Wii consoles in the US rather than here, with the taxes and the price of the 360, it's about the same to buy it here.

Me too, I need a new Gamecube that can read Wii games.

Oh, and Twilight Princess is $90 here. Compared to Uncharted 2 $30 or Gears 2 for $25, you can see what I'm talking about.
