Ugh, I hate waking up face first in a huge puddle of drool on my pillow.

I only like that when I unintentionally fall asleep on the couch.
Because it wakes me up right away.

Also, my California trip has been pushed back to October, now.

Need to get a heatgun to fix the myriad broken systems I have lying around (3x360s 1xPS3). Especially the YLOD 40GB PS3 I have. I need a clean one to update and play on PSN with.

Couldn't get time off of work until then or something?

I'm having surgery at the end of July. So I'm going to miss two weeks in August. I'll get medical EI for the time off, but it won't be as much as a regular paycheque.
I will be getting a cost of living bonus in the form of a payout at the end of August. Probably around $500, give or take.
I will have three full paycheques in September, including a stat holiday.
There will be a stat holiday at the beginning of October, before I leave.

I'm more convinced I will be able to have the money ready by that time, rather than in the middle of September.

"You must change your password before using PSN."
    /enters new password
"That password is invalid because it is the same as your old password."
... oh. I was using that as my old password? Huh.
    /changes first letter to uppercase
    "Password updated."

Also, it will be easier to get time off after Thanksgiving, since we usually hit a downtime for a couple of weeks. Really, until the first week of December.

Ahh, I see. Yeah, you don't want to go on a trip and not have enough money. You seem to have it worked out at least.

Also, just started playing Shadow Complex, an XBLA title. It's pretty sweet, very much in the vein of Super Metroid.

    I know how that is.
Also, I get 40 hours next week.

Then again, I probably make as much as you are only working 25 hours a week.

    Have a good night.

My general train of thought, as well. I'll only be there for a week, but by the looks of it I'll need to save up at least $700 just to cover the flight and motel cost. Then I figure another $300-$400 for food, liquor, and any touristy stuff I end up doing (DISNEYLAND), then another $400 to cover the week off work that I'll be missing. Although the stat holiday will help (I won't get paid for the stat until the week I get back, so it'll be like having an extra day or two on the cheque).

I hope I've got this all figured out. This is the first time I'm ever going to take a trip by myself, so I'm a little intimidated.

I only need to work twenty hours a week to pay all my bills. And honestly, from the sounds of the shop you work in, we have pretty much the exact same job. Although I'm not sure how busy yours is.
