The lettering is fine on mine, it's just the texture that's wearing off. Also on the left side of the right shift key, and some of the letters. The touchpad also has a smoother circle in the middle of it.

Mine has a high gloss finish on it, and it's super resistant to wear (i played WoW and CoD daily for about a year and the WASD keys and such are all fine.) But because of the glossy finish, it collects dead skin off your fingers, and it basically makes it look like your fingers are made of solid dirt when you go to clean it.

I have to clean it about once a week

Yeah, I remember reading something about that earlier today.

I hardly use mine as well, but I could use it a lot more if I could stick various drug references and applications on it and use it at work. I don't particularly care to stay up to date on the latest phone trends. I just want something that works. If it looks nice, that's a plus, but I'm not going to pay $100 extra.

In fact, I have a friend who swears she's going to buy me a new phone if it's not the first thing I do with my paycheck, because she thinks it's crazy that I like computers and video games and TVs and such, but not phones.

I'm the same way. It took me forever to upgrade my TV, and it'll probably take me until this phone completely dies to ever upgrade it (and I still don't think I'm gonna get a smartphone when I do). In all honesty, "keeping up" with technology just seems like a waste of money to me. Money which can be better spent replacing things that I have broken.

That's how my other laptop is. I used to clean that one daily, before I would use it.

Now that I have my netbook, I've used that one about twice, and it's primarily my boyfriend's computer at this point.

He never cleans it. I refuse to touch it.
