Actually, I just recently got my Silent Hill 2 disc back.

I'd let my sister borrow all my games for a while, and her boyfriend borrowed it from her. She made him swear to take good care of it, or else I'd kill him.

He lost it.

It'd been months and I'd long ago given up on ever seeing it again. The box sat empty on my shelf.

For my birthday, he gave me a present. It turned out to be my SH2 disc, no worse for wear. He was so excited, he apparently told my sister he was happy he'd found it, so that I would actually like him.

I've never actually disliked him, but apparently he's constantly whining to my sister about how I dislike him. I guess I'm scary or something.
