Had the GP diagnosed her symptoms PROPERLY (lol indigestion, here have some tablets for that) and had the hospital not fucked around she might have survived. But they ended up removing most of her intestine and surrounding area due to the cancer, so you can only imagine the kind of life she would've had had she survived...
