Most TVs don't accept resolutions over 1080p native. If they do, it's usually downscaled to 1080p on the display.

Mine can go to the max supported by the video cards on the computers I tested.

I just realized that my little survey there was pointless, thanks to my skill with CSS.

I think it was about £1,400, plus I went halves with my dad on it because it was originally going to be mainly for his use. Then he decided he'd rather keep using his laptop, so I have the iMac in my room now. He hadn't booted it up for nearly two months.

It's not exactly a universal truth, but generally spending a bit more leads to better production quality if you take a look at how well put together something is.

While you do occasionally find decent quality cheap stuff (the incredibly cheap headset I use lately held up a lot better than some of the other ones I've had, and the only problem with it is that the mic is a bit too sensitive for its own good. I'm still using some cheap earbuds from 2-3 years ago on my MP3 player) you typically wind up with something that falls apart in no time at all when you hit the bargain bin.

Yeah I know man, I got them at a garage sale. No idea as to their actual price.

I had a 19" monitor before so this is a pretty big step up for me. Plus it eats my old one for breakfast in terms of image quality.

I'd probably switch to Mac as well if I could afford one, only so when my family are like 'LOL Y WINDOWZ CRASH LOL?' I can be like 'Fuck knows, Mac, bro. '

I'm getting page can't be displayed errors everywhere but here.

No doubt the router's cabbaged itself as usual.

This was exactly why I made him get a Mac in the first place, I got sick of fixing his PC for him. Then he STILL somehow managed to delete a bunch of important files. I discovered OS-X's Control Panel equivalent in the Trash folder once, which I found hilarious for some reason. I think Windows 7 may actually be even more idiot proof than OS-X because as far as I know he hasn't had a single problem with his laptop yet.

It's probably downscaling it though, even if it doesn't actually say so. My 26" TV takes any resolution I throw at it but the actual max resolution of the screen is 1360x768. It'll claim it's displaying at all these crazy resolutions but it really isn't, it's accepting the input signal and scaling it down to fit the screen.

My friend managed to make Ubuntu stop booting. I don't know how it's possible, you can't delete things from the root folder, no matter what your access permissions are.

    25" Primary
    23" Secondary
    20" Tertiary
    18" Quaternary
    24" QUINTUPLE MOTHERFUCKER

If you aren't looking at a minimum 2 screens at a time, you are not a true pimp.
