Right, then, here's what I thought an expert would say. As I mentioned, Milotic is a bulky water, with a base stat distribution that includes 79 defense and 125 special defense. In addition, with a base attack of 60, a Water typing, and a moveset that places a strong emphasis on Water and Ice moves, it is unlikely to ever use any physical moves. As such, preferred natures for a defensive build would reduce Attack, and either increase Defense (Bold) or Special Defense (Calm), particularly for a Rest-Talker using Emerald tutors. If you want a special sweeper, Modest (+SpA/-Att) is the option of choice in my opinion; at 81 base speed, it is unlikely to outspeed threats like a Puncher Alakazam, Boltbeam Starmie, or Light Ball Pikachu in either case. Timid (+Spe/-Att) can be helpful as well for a sweeper, particularly in dealing with Venusaur in UU, which can be frequently geared for a speed-oriented build that would beat a neutral-speed Milotic, but I don't see much else that it will outspeed. Of the primary countesr I can think of, Azumarill, Blissey, and Ludicolo are too slow in either case and rely on tanking any hits from Milotic, and Alakazam and Starmie will always outspeed it in either case.
