Didn't know you hated SF4. I'm quite liking it myself, but it's also my first fighting game. I'm exactly the type of person all the elitists are hating on, because hurr durr SF4 is so dumbed down even your grandpa could play it. Which is why I liked it; I don't need to be uber pr0 to be able to have fun.

I generally dislike capcom's fighting games. The balance is awful and the game design is often boring.

As an example of both, take the online. It may have changed, but when it first came out about half the cast had infinites. Take a wild stab at what the online play was like.

On top of that, they really half ass the extra features. Which would make having a poor competitive setup less cringe worthy. (Tekken has full on beat-em ups, the Soul series has extensive alternate modes that I've personally sunk more hours into than some retail games, Guilty Gear and BlazBlue have story modes, the latter of which is superior to some full games. Mortal Kombat has entertaining wacky minigames that are often better than the main game itself, Street Fighter has.... yeah.)

I've played low budget doujin fighting games that had more going for them.

EDIT- also, since it's your first fighting game you may have overlooked that it's essentially been the same game since SF2. They lightly tweak a movelist or two and maybe add a clone here or there, but generally speaking simple upgrades to certain fighters have more alterations than the last 18 years of street fighter. Although they have tried to alter the formula at times, with terrible terrible results, they quickly abandon it in favor of "let's make another upgrade of street fighter 2, but this time there's also a *stereotype goes here*!"
