I think the furthest I ever made it in that game was Level 8... something like that. Never did manage to beat it.

I'm liking most of these answers and thanks for pointing that out Death I forgot about Skies of Arcadia that was a lot of fun too.
There should also be a new oddworld game I think the last one was like for gamecube or something they don't make too big of a media splash
when one comes out. Beside I didn't even own a gamecube to play it I always hounded a friend of mine to bring his for SSBM and LoZWindwaker.

You know what would be absolutely great? A Ridge Racer Type-4 reboot. Best Ridge Racer in the entire series.

My boss's brother did that when they were kids. Apparently he dedicated almost the entirety of 6th grade to beating Battletoads. Finally managed to do it with just a month left.

Only way to beat a lot of NES games was hardcore dedication, and no social life.

Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the first one) come to mind.

Ah, Battletoads! Now THAT'S something that needs to come back!

Edit: A dream of mine would be a new Virtual-On game. They messed up BAD with Virtual-On MARZ. They just can't let that series fade away like that.

Ghosts 'n' Goblins, out of that lot, were the easiest. Batman was difficult, but I managed to make it through that one after a month of dedication. (Which reminds me... fuckawesome game. ). I've still never beaten TMNT or Battletoads.

I'm always stuck on one level on Batman. Haven't played the game in over 10 years so I can't remember what level . I found Battletoads easier than TMNT =P
