Depends on the tattoos I suppose, but the morons around here have shit like:

    Disgusting tribal
    "MAM 1978"
    Names of their kids
Horrible crap like tattoos of fish and stuff.

If I ever got any they'd be gaming related for sure.

How many/what do you have? I'm going in for my sixth one this weekend. Most of mine are on my arms -- I'm working towards finishing out of my sleeves before I start on my back, but I'm just putting in the "big pieces" of the sleeves before I do any background work to fill in the spaces.

Depending how it is done, those kinds of tattoos can either look really retarded, or half decent. I have my son's birthdate on my wrist, but if it's just a small, silly looking tattoo with almost no artistic value whatsoever, it looks like balls. And balls are not attractive, even in the best light.

And tribal tattoos should be outlawed.

I understand and appreciate tattoos that mean something, but everyone seems to be getting crap for the sake of it nowadays just because they're old enough and have money to waste.

Agreed. If I see one more "rose on the hip" tattoo, or any other <insert-generic-tattoo-idea-here>, I'm going to shoot myself.

Also, my brother's genius idea is to get a tattoo on his ass that says:

"MEANWHILE, AT THE FORTRESS OF DOOM..."

Anchors and swallows, they're some more common ones. Like seriously, every girl 16-20 has a fucking swallow or anchor tattoo'd on themselves.

I was going to say, "Not meeee." Then I realized that I don't fit into that age group.

Agreed on the anchors. The swallow kind of depends on the reason behind it.
One of the artists at the tattoo shop I'm going to has the Triforce on the back of his hand.

I don't really see what's wrong with names of kids or lost loved ones for tattoos.

But generic shit is both generic and shit.

If I were to get any tattoos:

N64 logo - My favourite console, ever.
SNES logo would make a kick-ass tattoo but I've no real connection with the console.
Kane and Lynch, there's a logo tattoo'd on the members of the gang. I doubt many people even know about this logo, only because everyone thought the game was shit and refused to play past the first level though.

    That son of a bitch.

I'd rather get a triforce that was completely outlined except for only one of the triangles, so as to represent which one I "have" (Courage, Power, or Wisdom).

I'd pick courage. I like Link. Sue me.
