Did you ever read Drag's tattoo thread?

I think I know a little too much about your body, Drag.

I've seen some neat ones, and I spent like my entire 17th year of life convincing my mother that we would go and get tattoos for my birthday. I never found or thought of anything that I was comfortably with being stuck with forever.
That's my reasoning, I know I like some stuff now but I'll probably hate it again in a few years and grow tired of looking at it and if it's on your skin it's not easy to remove.

I figured I'd find a place that I didn't have to see all the time, avoiding things like arms and such, but I was just never satisfied with anything I found. And god knows I could never design my own tattoo without hating a million little things about it.

As apposed to not being on your skin, where it is extremely hard to remove.

Just get a tattoo of your avatar. Every time you change your avatar. Then you can have a back that looks like MasJ's twitter wallpaper!

    It's opposed instead of apposed.

Indeed, I have trouble enough finding avatars that I'm satisfied with, much less tattoos.

Then she has to get the entire thing covered in a teal box.

I meant get a tattoo, but sure, let's go with vomiting a rainbow.

It doesn't scan, but it's a real barcode. But the numbers and lines are a real UPC-A barcode generated for the code "0-02008-08180-7"

The 7 is just a check digit, which doesn't mean anything -- just a number generated based on the other numbers in the code -- and the leading zeros were just fill in the minimum length required for the barcode style that I wanted -- but 2008-08-18 is my son's birth date.

I think most people here are starting to learn way too much about my body. I should learn to keep my mouth shut and stop treating this place like my personal blog.

The way that I see it, as long as it means something personal to you and isn't just a generic tattoo for the sake of having a tattoo, then don't let the actual "design" hold you back. Remembering that the tattoo artist can clean up anything that you bring in. All of my tattoos have some sort of personal meaning to me -- I haven't gotten into the "filling in the blanks" process where I just start getting stuff that I think looks "cool."
