Yeah, they do look a little weird to me, too. The one on the right looks like the first cut off the anterior end and looks like a doorstop from that picture. The left one looks pretty decent, though. Although I'm shocked that they removed so much fat from the one on the left, and not nearly as much for the one on the right. I would have left some of that on; sirloin chops are usually a little bit dry. Although I can't quite tell because there is a fair bit of marinade on there, but it looks like all of the cap portions are attached; depending on how busy we are, we usually remove those and make cutlets or stirfry out of them. Makes a nicer looking product. Also looks like the tenderloin was still attached to that loin; when we do bone in chops, we usually leave the tenderloin in as well, so that's nothing new, but I've seen places that always take them out.

Also, @Kouen: you called them "marinade steaks," but anything cut from the loin of a porcine is classified as a "chop." Technically.
