A new redstone circuit block and stone slab blocks, beds that let you sleep through the night and instantly turn it back to dawn, a new lighting system that looks really cool, and the neatest thing I think is the ability to type in a "seed" upon world generation that will always generate the same world, depending on what you type. So if you accidentally mess something up and want to start over with the same map or you find a cool one you can give it to your friends. There's also some pretty major bug fixes, a new splash screen and the ability to have more than 5 save slots, and the gui for menus is changed around a little bit. And also it generates chunks differently now so the biomes won't look as blocky/unnatural or something.

Indeed. If anything it's just good to know that they're still working hard on it. I'm sure all of that carries more meaning when you actually play the game, though.

I don't think it's possible not to enjoy Minecraft. Definitely one of the most unique games I've ever played.

I could understand how someone could dislike it. I love it though, it's super addictive.
