It's much easier to hate things than love them, because hatred is a natural response to what we perceive as making us unhappy and there are plenty of things in this world to be unhappy about. Things are only as good as the people that make them, and if humanity sucked any more the universe would implode.
Well aren't you just a bottle of sunshine?
Really though, you don't need to be telling me about the world sucking, or even how unfair life is. I know all too well.. Which is all the more reason positive and constructive discussion is welcome, if not even downright necessary sometimes. Otherwise you just sink into a never-ending depression..
From a personal standpoint I have these many things to be unhappy about:

I would be depressed if I liked my species, as a misanthropist I don't place trust in people and I am therefore never disappointed. Expecting to be happy only leads to unhappiness, because you set yourself up for disappointment. You can be as positive as you want to be, in 40 years humans will have nothing to eat but each other.

Most people are unhappy now because of the global recession, the economy is the least people should be worried about. This isn't a recession, it's a transition between human life having moralistic values and human life not having value as anything else but a source of meat. There will only be two classes in the near future, the wealthy and the food. No amount of positive thinking changes that.

I couldn't agree more. I can't view this whole "hatred is cool" thing as anything more than juvenile. I'd like to think most of us are mature adults here.
If you're going to be a hateful, bitter jerk, you're just becoming the very thing you started hating in the first place. It's so simple, really!![]()
I have been playing my PSP a bit. I am noticing what a nice, well built little system it is. I didn't like playing racing games on it because 1st person perspective is kind of lame on a tiny screen, but 3rd person is actually pretty fun. I get to see the sweet little car blink its brake lights, and now I know that the girl in Outrun does the wave when she's happy.
Edit: Hi Dill.![]()
..... ..... ..... ......
I don't get it
Like it or not, there are misanthropists and there always be. Anyone that likes their own species is biased. Being called names for being misanthropic only reasserts the misanthropic person's misanthropy. You can disparage the negative but it will always coexist with the positive.

Hi Andy
I literally dont get it. My service provider blocks it
And it's so much better to dwell on these things and take them with you everywhere you go, rather than try to enjoy your leisure and recreational time? Going to a site like this implies you like fun things, and don't want to be burdened by the day-to-day mundane and horrors that are the world ALL of the time.. Frankly, I just don't see an excuse for all the bitching on here and I don't think you can convince me otherwise. (I'm well aware of the state of the world, and I've had enough crap happen in the last year and a half of my life to dwarf most peoples problems on here, I'd wager, and I still don't go around picking fights with people on the internet left and right or go butting into conversations just to tell people I hate something.)
I couldn't agree with you more.
Thank you.. This is what we need more of.![]()
