Just played Forza 3 to see what it's like compared to Gran Turismo 5.

Just drove 3 quite powerful cars without fault around Laguna Seca without any form of driving assists. Seems very casual compared to GT5. Although I can say the graphics are a lot prettier on Forza 3.

I also wasn't aware there was a Lancia Stratos, VW Golf GTI Mk1, Mk2 and a Corrado as well as an array of old Porsches.

He goes into far too much detail. Far, far too much detail. I do not have quite the way with words, nor do I desire to spend pages upon pages explaining the experience in such detail, but to summarize one of the more stand out scenes featured a violent gangrape of a woman who was being rather gruesomely tortured and was dying from it. All the while hooked up to a machine that was more or less tearing her soul apart. Which, apparently, feels a bit like every single nerve in your body is being raped by hundreds of tiny dicks made of broken glass wrapped in barbed wire. Of course, she's laughing hysterically and smiling while they disembowel her. And this is a preamble of things to come. My shrink says I'm not supposed to focus too hard on what happens after that.

Furthermore, it should be illegal to make available a story about someone gradually losing their tenuous grip on reality while sitting at a computer and being stocked by some manner cosmic horror standing directly behind them THAT IS JUST SITTING THERE. SILENTLY. UNMOVING. WATCHING YOU. SIZING YOU UP. WAITING. DO YOU FEEL ITS GAZE UPON YOU? NO, DON'T TURN AROUND. IT'S BACK THERE. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T START TALKING TO IT. IT MIGHT JUST CHOOSE TO TALK BACK.

And said story can only be read when, you guessed it, sitting at your computer. So wrong on several levels.

Then again, that part about the cosmic horror sounds fun.

I need to know the title of this game, Ray.

Because something that is this excruciatingly painful to imagine actually makes me feel something.

I have been so thoroughly desensitized that it takes a special kind of insanity to make me feel that old twinge again.

Twisted Metal PS3 should fix that.
