I don't really keep up with new games anymore, only the ones I already own. Perhaps I will have to add them to my list of games to start playing.

I think it was Mario Advance 2

Also, i think every friend i have, even if it's the only game they have, has VBA, and a rom of FFTA.

One of my friends has 200 hours in FFTA on an emulator...

Me and my best friend played the shit out of that game back in the day and linked up for the like... 3 co-op missions. Although I never did end up beating it...

Lol the co-op missions were so shitty XD

With the transfer cable it took like a full minute to switch between players.

I know, it was terrible. Although IIRC one of the best weapons in the game was a reward for one of them.

Shard: New games aren't as good as old ones.

Synth: I'll have to try playing those new games then!

    Wut?

Well, the sequence, peytral, accacia hat, and the staff would all go up 1 point (sword gains 1 attack, armor 1 def, etc...) every time you did one of those, or the tournament thing.

I first heard about emulation from a friend of mine when I first got a computer

He showed me by playing the origional Super Mario Brothers on his computer in all its authenticity.

It had been the most excited I'd been in a long time. Especially since I had lost all the games I grew up with due to financial hardships (my dad had Pawned them)

I did some research on the emulators & the corresponding ROMs & ISOs.

Out of the various (dubious) emulation sites hosting emulators & the corresponding games for downloads, I came across emuparadise.

The most helpful & well supplied archive of all that I'd been looking for.

I was referencing the two retro games he had asked if I had played when I mentioned dungeon crawling games, since I said I haven't been keeping up with all of the new games. Made sense in my head anyways.

Ah I see, didn't know that. So by playing the co-op shit over and over again you could make your party hilariously overpowered? Sounds fun.

This was basically my exact thought process when I decided to register here. That and the funny discussions people would have. It was a bit intimidating posting at first though.

I've known about Emuparadise for longer than I've been a member, I don't remember what led me here though .

it's true. in all fairness this is a pretty large forum (biggest one I've ever been an active member of).

I don't pay alot of attention to new games either unless they're on the PC. Still waiting on that PS2 emulator :p

I didn't really like how FFTA was compared to the origional FFT.
I liked that you could link games & all, but the rest of it seemed really limiting, took away from the gameplay I think.

I discovered the site and registered about 3 months later. I really wish it had been sooner though. So much lost time that could have been spent emulatin' games.

I believe at first I registered because I had a question regarding emulation when I had some difficulty w/ a particular game..
that or I was reporting a broken link or something on the main site when I was trying to download a PSX ISO
